Yesterday I heard this song in V6 concert . I was very Happy to hear that one Sakamoto singing. His voice is better than when he was singing it.

     昨日の代々木のライブで、この生歌聞けました。チョー感激。
     10年前より確実にうまくなっていますよ。

wow…I’ve known this song for a while. I love Phil Collins’s voice very much. this is the 1st time I heard Jap. ver. performed by leader of V6, Sakamoto. I must admit that I love this version right now ^^ his voice is beautiful. I love both versions XD

The lyrics for this song are so simple. It must not have been very difficult to translate. Still, great version. I think their vocalist was especially good.

It’s a pretty good substitute, but there’s nothing quite like Phil Collins. And thumbs up for gratuitous english.

@NikkioftheGivens I love disney movies and Anime. Just like you can like a food from another country just as much as, or more, than a native food

@NikkioftheGivens (wow this is late, sorry)
Actually, I believe that Anime was actually inspired by Disney.

Anyway, I’m surprised that the Jap. version of this song is so beautiful. Nice.

@ilovesparky13 Like…made it into more of a pop song than its original. Y’know, by Phil Collins? Yeah. :|

(Dedicicated To Zulu Chief Shaka)

Hero who surpasses other heroes!
Swallow that disappears in the clouds,
Others disappearing into the heavens!
Son of Menzi!
Viper of Ndaba!
Erect, ready to strike,
It strikes the shields of men!
Father of the cock!
Why did it disappear over the mountains?
It annihilated men!
That is Shaka,
Son of Senzangakhona,
Of whom it is said, Bayede!
You are an elephant!
