Question by iamtheparty: Why are you the only ones who are allowed to “embrace your culture”?
I’ve heard a lot of African Americans say that they have no idea whatsoever of their roots or family history, so how do you call that your culture anyway?
Right on, impact!!

Let’s just all be Americans!

Well most people don’t really know their history but if you generalize it we all have some common roots. That’s kind of why you can call it your culture, since culture doesn’t really mean a group of people but a group of people who have the same roots, beliefs, and other things like that.

Well tootsie, when your ancestors are ripped from their homes, forced to accept slavery and the master’s religion,I’d say it’s pretty difficult to trace your beginnings.

African-Americans are one of the few people who have no written history of the tribes they were taken from. However, we do know one common thing: We are descended from AFRICANS!!! So we embrace AFRICAN culture! You act like you can’t do the same. How many Irish/French/British/Scottish shirts and artwork and artifacts are there for you to purchase? Think about it.

Did somebody wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? Get over it chic, the questions you are spitting out won’t change the people you are referring to, nor do I imagine it makes you feel much better.

Technically we are more “American” than 90% of the white people in this country. Its only natural that embracing black culture is embracing America.

(Dedicicated To Zulu Chief Shaka)

Hero who surpasses other heroes!
Swallow that disappears in the clouds,
Others disappearing into the heavens!
Son of Menzi!
Viper of Ndaba!
Erect, ready to strike,
It strikes the shields of men!
Father of the cock!
Why did it disappear over the mountains?
It annihilated men!
That is Shaka,
Son of Senzangakhona,
Of whom it is said, Bayede!
You are an elephant!
