QUESTIONS TO ORACLE: 1)) “Will the oral tradition regain a place back in human culture and be the way we transmit culture once again in our near future?” 2)) “Will I personally ever find a home and set roots down in a specific place with my tribe and live my life comfortably?” BBBleaver asked oracle a question and I answer and ask question in turn the is serious fun It is really important to point out that the book The Human Encounter with Death is when Stanslav Grof gave LSD to willing people who were terminally ill. The book is about their experiences.

I really appreciate your compliment. That is a painting I did some years back in 1992.

hey i don’t mean to be off-topic (whatever that could be), but i really dig whatever’s on (or off) the wall. is it a painting? sculpture? both?

A mindblower of a book–try and get it!

Yes, death is something many of us in our culture are made to treat as taboo. Yet it is central for life.
I see death in life like warp in woof. like to even move say arm there has to be a ‘death’ of the motion for arm to move?
so ALL the time death HAS to be. in every ‘moment’ for life to BE in every moment.

cont~~~~ the relationship between the depiction of rain torrents, the mythical bear and the Bird Goddess is obvious.”

Ie., because of drying climate these symbolic images were used as symbolic communication for invoking rain

So this points to OUR situation with the weather also I feel…?

cont))” THE INVOCATION OF RAIN, THE BEAR AND THE IDEOGRAMS OF THE BIRD GODDESS: V’s, chevrons, belts of zigzags, and groups of parallel lines are frequently found on figurines, stamp seals, cult vases and vase lids. Their consistent appearance on figurine masks and bodies, anthropomorphic vases, minature cult vessels and zoomorphic containers suggests the existence of a coherent system of symbolic expression:

WU YES!!! And VERY powerful for me to see it too!
After all, when we are talking about the Goddess that is most definately preliteral isn’t it?! So there we have a deep profound affirmation!

Now if you listen back where I read the piece on the page she is sat on her THRONE, and also mention is ZIG ZAG symbols. So I looked up in same book ‘zig zag symbols’ and read

my second question, will i set roots with my “tribe” and live a comfortable life…
the oracle spoke of death and sadness, to stop day dreaming and live, of current cultural road blocks. this really seem to touch on the emotions i was having when i thought of the question. i was feeling worried and uncertain about whether or not i would fulfill my vision. still processing all of it.

so i asked if the oral tradition will re-instate itself and be the means through which culture will be transmitted again… and the oracle shows me pictures of the goddess… this was nothing less than affirmation for me. a resounding yes, your on the path, you see me, here i am, the means through which culture is invigorated, supported and passed on with the care of forces larger than yourself… very powerful for me to see that.

Abram really has a way of communicating sensuously which inspires actual sensual feelings. I cannot recommend this book enough. have been doin so left right and centre :)

I am hoping BBBleaver you might explore what oracle told you here, and I will at your thread?

    howdy ;)

The book I am reading is the latter one, The Spell of the Sensuous. One of THE most amazin books i’ve ever experienced!
is SO good that like a really great meal you savour and dont want to gobble up. so its a really slow read

    His response:

“If you only knew what happened last night…. What book is that from? I have to show this to a certain female that I was with last night who sold a painting of hers!”

Another person jokingly asked if he’d ever lose his virginity. He is 47. My answer:

“She had no trouble selling her paintings, and liked America. But only on the surface. Everything beneath the surface was alien to her. Down below, there was no grandpa or uncle. She was afraid of shutting herself into a grave and sinking into American earth.”

  17. mistaspot1 says:

    Indeed.

    One girl asked me:

“Will I move to Canada, after all?”

    My answer, completely random:

“The horror of that movement,” the King went on, “I shall never, never forget it!” “You will, though,” the Queen said, “if you don’t make a memorandum of it.”

howdy pard-ner! boar (not sure that’s spelled correctly) was the dagara word used to indicate initiation.
is the book your reading THE ALPHABET AND THE GODDESS? have always wanted to read that. please share your thoughts on it, when your done!
david abrams has a really good book called spell of the sensuous.

i especially enjoy the aspect of how even if the reading seems totally amiss that a symbol or two through association can spark some deep meaning in one… it always offers something to ponder.
would you be willing to share some of the questions and answers you found?

I know it can feel a bit freaky….! But it is fun freaky too

I remember doing I-Ching some years back, someone did it for me, and I got a real good reading at the time. Felt inspired

ordinarily i wont do fortune tellin kinda stuff cause i dont wanna KNOW the future. but this is different

  21. mistaspot1 says:
    May 1, 2010 at 14:44

    This is excellent.

The second answer was great. I tried this with a number of people last night and got some pretty freaky and telling responses. Just rolling the dice. Taking whatever chance gives you. I like it. :)

(Dedicicated To Zulu Chief Shaka)

Hero who surpasses other heroes!
Swallow that disappears in the clouds,
Others disappearing into the heavens!
Son of Menzi!
Viper of Ndaba!
Erect, ready to strike,
It strikes the shields of men!
Father of the cock!
Why did it disappear over the mountains?
It annihilated men!
That is Shaka,
Son of Senzangakhona,
Of whom it is said, Bayede!
You are an elephant!
