It really comes down to religion and politics. The people of the middle east have been at war since the times of the crusades. From Jerusalem, to US military bases, to dictators, that place is just a mess.
You don’t need a weblink. Read the Old Testament and there has been bloody conflicts in that region of the world for centuries. If you’re talking about recent years, it may be in 1947 when the U.N. recognize Israel as a nation there. That may be one of the bigger reasons, but there has been ongoing skirmishes among Arab nations/tribes before that.
They were at war for over 2000 years! It aint never gonna cease. Nobody in our lifetime is going to stop it. It’s not the U.S. bases or oil or any of that other B.S.
It depends upon when you wish to begin the problems. The Crusades could be a starting point. The battle of Lepanto which ended Ottoman expansion could be another. If you are referring to the USA only then you would begin with the Barbary Pirates. Links below
When Abraham and Sara became impatient, and took it upon themselves to make a son, instead of wait upon God to provide one, Abraham’s first son was born by his impregnating Haagar, his Egyptian servant, at the request of his wife Sara. The child was born with Haagar resting on her lap, a symbol of surrogacy. When Ishmael was born, he was loved, but after Sara gave birth to Isaac – her and Abraham’s biological child – she became more and more jealous of Haagar and fIshmael, and forced her out. Perhaps the fact that Abraham and Sara were half-siblings had something to do with her actions – perhaps not. Either way this was not obedience, but God found a way to work through the heartless actions of humans, and God promised Haagar that Ishmael would father a great nation – and he has. He promised Abraham the same – and he has. It is also written that there would always be enmity between them, as there was between other brothers in scripture – Cane & Abel, Jacob & Esau, etc. It should not surprise us that conflict remains, as it was predicted to happen. Our opportunity is to respect, not hate, as Esau learned to forgive Jacob for stealing his birthright by fooling a blind Isaac (their father) into blessing the wrong son. Forgiveness and love are more powerful than hate, and Esau prospered, once he aligned with God’s will.
God always provides a way out, even when He knows we will make wrong choices along the way. We all have an opportunity to restore our fellowship with our Heavenly Father. It begins, not with hate, but with a contrite heart.
The trouble in the Middle East, I’m not sure there really is an answer to that seeing as how there have been wars, unrest, rebellions, etc for as long as we have history in the area. It would be easier to calculate the answer for ‘pi’ than answer this question.
BIBLICALLY SPEAKING IT ALL BEGAN WHEN ABRAHAM REJECTED HIS FIRSTBORN SON, ISHMAEL, IN FAVOR OF THE INHEIRITER OF THE PROMISE, ISSACC. ISHMAEL WAS THE FATHER OF ALL THE ARABIC NATIONS AND BECAUSE HE WAS REJECTED THEY HAVE WARRED AGAINST THE JEWS EVER SINCE. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Middle_East
